SEOAST Launches Free GEO and AEO Audits That Show What AI Search Can Read
The AI Venture Holdings tool runs 28 checks on a page's raw HTML and says plainly that it does not sell an AI visibility score
MIDVALE, Utah, Oct. 9, 2026 — SEOAST, a product of AI Venture Holdings LLC, has launched free generative engine optimization (GEO) and answer engine optimization (AEO) audits at seoast.ai. The audits check the page-side signals that AI answer engines depend on, including ChatGPT search, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot and Claude.
Each audit runs 28 checks on a single URL, using the HTML the server returns before any JavaScript runs. The checks cover indexability, search appearance, content, machine readability and AI-search readiness. A report shows which AI crawlers a site's robots.txt file blocks, whether the content exists in the raw HTML, whether questions on the page have direct answers beneath them, whether structured data is present and whether the business behind the page is clearly identified. Pages are scored from 0 to 100 using published weights, and each finding comes with the evidence behind it and a specific fix.
SEOAST states on its site that it does not query ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or Google AI Overviews, and that it does not monitor or count citations. It audits what a site owner controls on the page.
Site owners now face several separate decisions about AI systems: whether to allow crawlers that collect training data, whether to allow the retrieval crawlers that let an answer engine cite a page, and whether content is readable once a crawler arrives. A page can rank well in traditional search and still be unreadable to an answer engine if its content only appears after JavaScript runs.
The tool is aimed at agencies running prospect audits, in-house marketers checking pages before launch, and developers who want audits in a deployment pipeline. Audits are free without an account, up to 10 a day. A free API key raises the limit to 100 a day and opens a REST API and a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, so the same audit can be run from scripts and AI agents.
